That video is really sad and disturbing. I support animal welfare, but I don’t like the approach that PETA takes. Relying on shock tactics gets them publicity but it causes people to not take them seriously.

Yeah, this is weird. I strongly support animal welfare (see this video if you’re interested http://meat.org) but I can’t make heads or tails of this.

I just read some very fright-ening statistics on plastic bag use, which makes me angry that Shaw’s ONLY uses plastic bags, and that almost every customer takes home dozens of them, doing God-knows-what with them once they’re through. It was something like, it costs millions of dollars to recycle $35 worth of plastic bags, so you can’t even recycle them without using up an inordinate amount of non-renewable resources. There is no good reason to be that wasteful.
